Today was a milestone for our trip. It is day 14 and we arrived at the halfway point of our Route 66 adventure. Here is a photo of us in Adrian, Texas.

Moving on from the halfway point, we travelled through the rest of the Texas panhandle. The wind farms faded into the horizon and the beautiful sage and coppery landscape of New Mexico filled our view.
Our farewell scenes from the wind farms were unique and beautiful with some clouds that rolled in.

We travelled through some more small towns, and the old grain silos and buildings were so distinct against the blue sky.

Welcome to New Mexico! We are so excited to check out this land of enchantment!

The landscape changed over and offered some beautiful vistas with the clouds.

We landed at the Blue Swallow Motel in Tucumcari, New Mexico.

It is a gem! It is kept the way it was when it was built back in 1939. Robert, the owner welcomed us and helped us settle in our amazing room!

A beautiful sunset. I love a good sunturning!

Some evening photos in the courtyard with the lights on.

I am sharing our adventures of the day with you while sitting outside in the motel court. Some Elvis music is playing, and other guests are arriving, gathering, meeting each other, enjoying the stories of where we are from and where we are going. It is magical. You might even say enchanting.
